Painting and firing :

    We use overglaze paints which to be fired at  750 - 850 degrees Celsius for permanent finish. The lead  content paints are used for decoration purpose, but lead-free paints  are for food-container painting. Overglazes are in powder, which need to mix with medium. The paints are slightly applied in layers. Each layer has to be fired in kiln 750 -850 degrees Celsius, then the shade will be about 15-20% lighter. Therefore, to create depth and 3-dimensional look in realistic painting style like portraiture needs serveral layers of painting and firing. We cannot load thick paints otherwise the paint will run in firing process and spoil the  work. In addition, different colors need different temperatures, i.e. red and violet could not be fired at the same time. Normally, we  fire porcelain two to four times to get the required value, or five to six times for portrait.

    The hand-painted decoration is mainly labor-oriented artwork, which consume much time to complete with three-dimensional look or strong color, and depending on the complexity and intricacy of the patterns. Therefore, we estimate painting commission from the time consumed for each project, then adding white ware, paints, and firing cost. Shipping expense is subject to the distance to destination. The client will absorb the shipping and insurance expenses.

Payment shall be made as following product/service:

a. Collectors plates in stock inventory:  client is required for full payment when the order is ready for delivery. In case of credit card payment, we do not process your card until the product is packed and ready for delivery.

b. Made-to-order and custom order without personalization: client is required for 50% advance payment deposit to start production after order is placed or client approves the quotation. The balance is required when the order is ready for delivery.

c. Any personalization including portraits or any specific instruction: clients is required for full payment when the order is placed, before the production starts.

2. By personal check or money order payable to Jariya Kiranantawat, then mail to our address.

3. By credit cards: we accept AMEX. We do not have secure on-line payment service, so you should fill your order and credit card details in the Contact Us and only fax or by mail to our address to us at (66) 0-1495-5605.

a. Shipping outside Thailand: The shipping company is either UPS or DHL. The shipping expense is subject to the distance to destination. We wrap our products with bubble and foam popcorn in double-boxes, then shipped by UPS or DHL with insurance, or any other carrier is also acceptable. If any item is damaged in shipment, please maintain all packaging and call Shipping Company for inspection. Insurance will be claimed by sender after inspection result has been acknowledged. Subsequently, the reproduction will be made, and sent to you in the next 4-6 weeks.

b. Shipping within Thailand: By EMS or hand-delivery in Bangkok.

   If for some reasons clients are not satisfied with the products, clients should repack the items carefully, and return to us in the same condition as arrival, within 10 days. We will correct the problem if possible, then send them back to clients within 2 weeks. No refund for any sold item.
