| Frequently Asked Question(FAQ) :
We have noticed that many clients asked
about the following questions :
1. Do you have any catalog?
No, we don't have any catalog. Because, each piece is custom
designed and hand painted, and we cannot mass produce any
of these items or have an extensive inventory on hand. The
sample shown on the web site is only to give you an idea of
our painting style, which may fit to you and you can order
for production. If you could not find your requirement in
the web site.
2. Can you paint on tiles or sink?
Yes, on custom-order basis only we can paint on the glazed
tiles with gloss or matte look, which have not been installed
in order to fire for permanent finish. For sink, we do not
have kiln available at present.
3. What color of tile should be?
The tile color should be white or ivory. You can select
any brand and size available in Bangkok.
The size should not be less than 4 1/4 " x 4 1/4".
4. How do you charge for hand-painted
tiles?
We charge commission at the same rate as painting tableware
or portraits subject to the pattern complexity. If practical,
a personal discussion is preferred, so we can provide you
an idea on colors & patterns, and estimate cost.
5. Can I really use the painted porcelain?
Yes, the painted china done as our method can be washed over
and over again for daily use, and be a long-lasting heirloom
as you may see some in antique shop or museum.
6. Do you sign your work?
Yes, I signed each piece some where in the artwork after
completion. On small piece, I will sign only my initial (JK),
but my whole name on larger item.
7. Do you offer hand-painting restoration
for any antique?
No, because to restore the same shades colors or make a similar
brush-stroke as the original artist is quite difficult for
me. In addition, there is a risk from repeated firing which
may cause breakage in kiln.
8. Do you have painting class?
Yes, painting class in English is available on Wednesday
only. The class is an open-end, so you can join in any Wednesday.
Each project takes 15 hours, 3 hours a day (9.30 - 12.30 p.m),
to complete 2-3 pieces.
